First TCA Certificate in China officially begins
The first Terrestrial Carbon Accounting Certificate course officially began August 7, 2018. The course launched with 94 learners, all Chinese government foresters. The in-person course will last until August 14 and will cover all 6 TCA areas and field work. Prior to the face-to-face sessions, students progressed through an online curriculum teaching them the fundamentals in each of the 6 TCA course areas.
The course is managed by the Forest Carbon Accounting and Monitoring Center of the State Forestry Administration, located at the State Academy of the Forestry Administration (STAFA), and accredited by the Chinese Forestry Engineers Association (CFEA).
