Wang Wei is an Assistant Engineer at the Academy of Forest Inventory and Planning, China.
Wang Wei received a master’s degree in the GIS major at Beijing Forestry University. He is an engineer of FCAMC of SFA and has acquired a pilot captain certificate for UAV. He focuses on application & research of RS and GIS in forestry, especially the UAV RS in forest division and parameters inversion.
Why I am part of The Carbon Institute
When UAV platform carries the sensors of a CCD camera, multispectral and Lidar can obtain multisource data of forest quickly. We can use those data to estimate forest biomass and carbon storage. So, I would like to make some contributions in carbon accounting.
