Professor Rizaldi Boer is the director of the Center for Climate Risk and Opportunity Management and senior lecturer at the Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia. 


At present Rizaldi serves as the director of the Centre for Climate Risk and Opportunity Management in Southeast Asia and Pacific (CCROM-SEAP) of Bogor Agricultural University, Indonesia.  His expertise is focused on climate risk management. He has been working in the area of climate change mitigation and adaptation for more than 30 years. Since early 2000, he has been serving UNFCCC secretariat as lead reviewer of GHG inventory of Annex 1 countries and is also a technical expert for conducting technical assessment of REDD+, Biennial Reports, Biennial Update Reports and National Communications under the UNFCCC.  He is frequently invited as a speaker on climate variability and climate change and instructor in a number of training activities implemented by various agencies at the national and international levels.  In the period of 2011-2015, he also served as one of member of IPCC Task Force Bureau for GHG Inventories.
