You are cordially invited to join the COP25 pre-launch of the Carbon Institute’s new initiative to train the Paris Agreement’s workforce
December 5th | 10:30 am to 11:50 am | Indonesian Pavilion | Refreshments will be served
As the global community increases ambition on nature-based solutions to climate change, there is a clear need to enhance training centers and technical workforces to implement the Paris Agreement in many Non-Annex I countries. By convening a network of networks, the Collaborative Capacity Lab (CCL) will scale the Carbon Institute’s proven train-the-trainer programs from six countries to 42 new countries. The CCL will train 400 new leaders by 2024 through four new regional Certificates in Advanced Nature Based Solutions.
The CCL will mentor 24 faculty (6 in each region) to design regional programs accredited to international standards. The 24 regional faculty will teach graduates to design, finance, implement, and monitor nature-based climate solutions and help their countries build the workforce to meet the Paris Agreement’s Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF). From the 400 CANBS graduates, the partnership aims to mentor 160 new UNFCCC experts in IPCC AFOLU Greenhouse Gas Guidelines and ETF reviews.
Please join us at the Indonesian Pavilion at COP25 from 10:30 am to 11:50 am.
