Over the past several months, the COVID-19 pandemic has turned the world on its end, sickening nearly a million people at time of writing, upending daily life, crashing economies, and placing an immense amount of hardship on countless people. Throughout these turbulent times, the Carbon Institute is committed to supporting our global family of staff and partners to the best of our ability. Recognizing the increasing severity of the pandemic, we have established a small emergency relief fund to assist any members of our team directly impacted by COVID-19.
As the world grapples with responding to the novel coronavirus, the decisions made in these next several months will shape our lives for many years, if not decades, to come. In times of crisis, we must stand in solidarity with each other and with the world’s most vulnerable, regardless of physical distance between us. We remain steadfast in our commitment to work toward securing a stable, equitable, and healthy climate future, and we wish all safety and good health throughout the COVID-19 crisis.
